EP243: Play More, Tech Less with Abby Lynch

Screen time doesn't necessarily have "one-size-fits-all" prescription; however, what does a realistic approach look like? What does the research actually suggest? How can we encourage the growth of imagination? How can we find more time for play? Joining me today to discuss all of this and more is the creator behind the popular account @playmore_techless, Abby Lynch.

About Abby

Abby is a speech language pathologist with 12 years of clinical experience and a Mom of 2 with almost 6 years of parenting experience. She started her Play More | Tech Less account when she had an overnight epiphany that the answer to her children’s relationship with screens was *more play*.

Abby observed her own clients’ families struggle with screen time and play for over a decade and, when she began encountering similar challenges as a Mom, she wanted to share her own journey toward healthy screen time to encourage others.

Abby uses her expertise in language development and play based therapy to guide her own decisions within parenting. With an emphasis on keeping things “seriously simple” Abby presents an accessible and realistic approach to healthy play and screen time.
